Hi... I'm Penelope Poppers!
I'm the founder and former Executive Director of Lucie's Place, a home for LGBTQ young adults experience homelessness. Through hard work, stubbornness and a refusal to accept no, I made the dream of Lucie's Place into a reality. It was through Lucie's Place where I learned to not only appreciate, but truly love Development work. After Lucie's Place, I raised money for our local Planned Parenthood affiliate, where Planned Parenthood in Arkansas had the best fundraising year in the history of the organization in AR! Personally, I also love Arkansas and all of the outdoor beauty it has to offer. Hiking is my favorite thing and in 2018, I hiked the 223 miles from Oklahoma to Pinnacle State Park in Little Rock! You can watch that video below!
